    England: Music

 What do you remind when you heard of the word, United Kingdon? Some of you might remind Queen(Who is the monarch of the U.K or British rock band), Fish and Chips, Football, Beatles, One Direction and stress, etc. As we can see, this is when the cultural aspects come in: language, music, food, and literature, etc. Among those various cultural aspects, I'm going to talk about Music aspects.

    

    According to Statista, the most listened to music genre in the United Kingdom (UK) 2018 is POP. I'm sure probably most of you had heard and enjoyed listening to pop songs, however, most of you don't know the particular definition of it. ''Pop music is 'the genre of popular music that produces the most hits. A hit is a song that sells many copies, and the latest hits are listed every week on the charts.'' In another word, the songs that we often learn and hear. 

    England has a tremendous amount of pop artists over the world. For example, my favorite artist One Direction(except for Nail. He is from Ireland), Adele, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Jessie J, Elton John, etc. There are so many enormous artists that I can't even tell them all names. England has many genres of music like rock, pop, jazz, rap, hip hop, folk music, etc. 

As I mentioned before, there is a tremendous amount of pop artists in England and I present some of the artists. Among them, there is my favorite artist, One Direction. One Direction is an English-Irish pop boy band formed in London, in 2010. Simon Cowell formed this 5 little boy from the singing competition, The X Factor in 2010. 'What Makes You Beautiful is their first album, number one on the UK Singles Chart, and the highest debut for a British act on the US Billboard Hot 100 since 1998. The ensuing produced album makes a great hit and they become the world's best boy band. And there are still the best boy band and still One Direction even they hiatus. If you want to know about and hear about their songs, I'd like to recommend two albums. 'Four' and 'Made in the A.M'.
